
Rachel was educated at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi where she graduated with first class honours in a Bachelor of Laws Degree and as second best in her class. Subsequently, she attended the Ghana School of Law where she was ranked as a first class student. She has to her credit, the 2010 Best Student in Civil Procedure Prize from the Ghana School of Law.
She started her legal career as an intern at Oxford & Beaumont in 2009 where she assisted the Litigation and Dispute Resolution team in the research and drafting of pleadings and written addresses in high profile commercial litigation cases such as the multi-million dollar suit brought by Glencore AG against Volta Aluminium Company in the Ghanaian Commercial Court.
In her current role, she has assisted in cases relating to credit management, banking, sale of goods and contract, international trade, defamation, employment and insurance for a number of clients including Glencore AG, Anglogold Ashanti Limited, Barclays Bank (Ghana) Limited, Coca Cola Bottling Company of Ghana Ltd, Multimedia Group Limited, Metropolitan Insurance Limited.
Rachel is a member of the Young International Arbitrators Group of the London Court of International Arbitration. She has attended various seminars, training and conferences in International Commercial Arbitration including a Symposium on International Arbitration hosted by the LCIA African User’s Council and a Training Workshop on the Ghanaian Alternative Dispute Resolution Act, 2010 (Act 798).
