John Awuah is the Financial Controller of Barclays Bank of Ghana Limited, where he exercises leadership over financial management, analytics and regulatory reporting. Before this, he was the Head of Finance at United Bank for Africa Ghana Limited where he also doubled as Head of Corporate Strategy.

He previously held senior management roles at Standard Chartered Bank, Tractor & Equipment Ghana Limited (now Mantrac), and Western Castings Limited, where he influenced corporate strategy on financial and management reporting.

He is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK), a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana and holds an MBA from the Oxford Brookes University. He is a Council Member of the Gerson Lehrman Group and a Trustee of the Akua Kuenyehia Foundation. He also serves on the boards of Business Impact Consult and Speedy Funds Services Limited.
