Ghana has become the gateway to English speaking West Africa with many international firms locating their West African head offices in Ghana. For many of our clients, Ghana is often just one of the countries in Africa in which they are doing business. Without the right support, they may be overwhelmed by the significant differences (and inconsistencies) in culture, business climate, laws and regulation which increase the risks and the costs of doing business in Africa.

Co-headed by our Managing Partner and our Sierra Leone-qualified Finance Partner, our newly formed Africa Group assists our clients to navigate the legal and business environment of other African countries. Through personal experience and the relationships we build with leading lawyers on the continent, we are able to help our clients meet their business objectives not only in the West African sub-region but increasingly across Africa.

As Africans with experience working with law firms across Africa, we recognise the wide disparity in the organisation of law across Africa. As a result, in developing relationships across Africa, we focus on building relationships with both the best law firms and the best individuals we can find across the continent.
